conventions in the past year. It's become something that we each sincerely believe in academically as well as professionally. Social Commentary can take place in any genre, but horror has a way of planting seeds in our brains, allowing the ideas to be examined over time. While comedy has often been the go-to genre for examining social issues, horror is most effective vehicle for doing so. By creating a space where people are forced to be uncomfortable, our brains become more open to the realities around us.
