Those are necessary. But you, and your boss, and politicians, and all vehicles besides emergency vehicles are unnecessary luxuries that are the source of much of the world's current problems. Of course there will always be problems, but some are much worse than others. I highly doubt everyone would ever go car-less, and I don't see corporations signing up to this project.
