In this episode, we discuss five of the key figures that contributed in huge ways to the tradition of Reformed Theology. Starting with Augustine in the late 4th century all the way to the Swiss Reformer John Calvin in the time period of the Reformation.
*Episode Notes from Chris: In the section concerning the Donatist Controversy, I accidentally referred to the "Roman" Catholic Church - I misspoke as the Church in Rome with a developed papacy did not come into existence until later - the proper term would simply be the "Catholic Church". Also concerning the “List of Prohibited Books”, it is important to note that this document was not released until the 1500s, long after Wycliffe had died; the intention behind mentioning this document was to express that there has been a continued effort by Rome, whether officially (like presented in the List of Prohibited Books) and unofficially (as seen in the active suppression of translation efforts made by Reformers) to prevent the common person from being able to survey the Scriptures for themselves.
