Theology in Progress episodes

  • Accepting Christ, Awana, and Baptism
In this episode, I share with you what I learned about God as a child. In particular, I share: (1) My story of accepting Christ as a child. I talk about whether we should think about salvation as going to heaven when we die. (2) I discuss my involvement in the youth ministry called Awana. I talk about the way it inspired me to memorize and study Scripture on my own. (3) I share the story of my baptism, and I talk about the core lesson I learned throughout my whole childhood: that God is love, and all of our growth as Christians comes from leaning into that reality more and more.

  • About Me and This Podcast
I explain who I am, why I’m passionate about Christian theology, why I wanted to start a podcast, and why all our theology is ultimately in progress. I also explain a little bit of my mentality as explained by Gary Vaynerchuk, who says we should focus on documenting our journey early on instead of trying to create novel content. This podcast really is just my attempt to document my own journey into understanding God, the Bible, religion, and philosophy. Feel free to come along for the journey! And if you use the Anchor app, which is awesome, feel free to send me a voice recording with a question or comment about the podcast, and I can include it in the next one I make!
