This week we literally stood around a fire and talked about reading the Bible. Is there a right or wrong way to read scripture? Do you have any pet peeves when it comes to reading the Bible? These are just a few things we talked about in this episode.

This episode of the Theology in Progress podcast is a replay of our Abolition of Man webinar. The Abolition of Man is C.S. Lewis' defense of objective value and natural law and a warning of the consequences of doing away with or "debunking" those things. It defends science as something worth pursuing but criticizes using it to debunk values—the value of science itself being among them—or defining it to exclude such values.

We have all read a portion of scripture and felt like we got something different out of it each time. A popular question to get a discussion started in a bible study is 'What does this scripture mean to you?' This may be a weird thing for us to say on a theology podcast... we hate talking theology. That doesn't mean we don't like to talk about God or the things of God. It mainly means we hate those theological conversations that end in an argument. We also discussed some ideas for how we can change Theology in Progress to better serve you.
