Theophilius Sunday is getting married!
The Christian community went into an outburst after Theophilius Sunday through his Instagram handle informed the general public of his intentions to get married. For many, it was beautiful and amazing, while for some, it was a moment of sober reflection of what marriage truly is.
I am here to share some thoughts in the light of which many people especially Nigerians thought at that moment,
At the moment he shared his intentions of getting married, many thought to themselves why he decided to choose a lady who is not a Nigerian? They wondered if they were still virtuous ladies in Nigeria. You must understand that a man’s exposure beyond his country can give him an opportunity to make a choice over a wider stage. He is not limited to Nigeria. You must also understand that it is not a must to marry from your country because we have other factors that binds people from different countries together and from this story, one thing that bounds both is Christianity. They both practice Christianity and that is enough to bring them together.
Many persons were amazed of his kind of person getting married to a person who does not seem to be a minister like him. This is a reality check for everyone to know that not all doctors marry doctors, nor all lawyers marry lawyers and that applies to this case. Marriage is a place of complimenting each other as much as possible and that is why it is beautiful to find two persons of different experiences come together. It is actually boring to find too many similarities in marriage.
Some persons say he is too spiritual to get married based on the songs he sings and his ministry. They have a point but you must realize men are first men and they have desires regardless their current spiritual level or they are at a high level in the fulfillment of destiny. Appreciate them when they have like passions like every other man, it means they know humanity and they acknowledge such.
A REMINDER!
Marriage is a test of your assignment in life.
Marriage will create a level of discipline in your life.
Marriage will test your strength and you must be prepared for it.
Marriage with the wrong person can destroy your life.
Seek guidance and counselling before you choose a woman.
