In this episode, I reflect on the privilege of everyday life after watching Pole to Pole with Will Smith, and how it challenged my perspective on happiness, simplicity, and what really matters. I also share some personal thoughts on following Jesus, why I believe His message was rooted in love rather than division, my views on hell, and how I’ve been feeling physically and spiritually lately. Just an honest stream of consciousness as I work through life, faith, and gratitude.

Episode 4: The Story Behind Jomeezius

In this deeply personal episode, I pull back the curtain and share the story behind my nickname, Jomeezius, and what it has come to represent in my life.

I also talk openly about my spiritual malady, and what it actually feels like from the inside, as well as the emotional and mental “flare-ups” that used to send me searching for relief at the bottom of a bottle. I describe the discomfort, restlessness, and inner tension that recovery has forced me to face without alcohol.

This episode is an unfiltered stream of consciousness about healing, self-awareness, and learning to sit with the parts of myself I used to run from. I also share my hopes, dreams, and aspirations for the future, along with the man I’m striving to become one day at a time.
