Eyes Up: Week 7 — “There Were No Kings in Israel” (Judges 19–21)
Speaker: Ty Hirsch
This week in our Eyes Up series, Ty takes us into one of the most sobering and often-avoided passages in Scripture — the final chapters of Judges. In a time when “everyone did what was right in their own eyes,” Israel spirals into chaos, violence, and moral collapse. Yet even in the darkest stories, we see the mercy and kingship of God pointing us toward Jesus — the true King who brings life out of death and light into the deepest darkness.
Ty challenges us to examine where we might be doing “what’s right in our own eyes” and to let Christ rule every corner of our lives. Because sin always takes us farther than we want to go, keeps us longer than we want to stay, and costs more than we ever planned to pay — but Jesus went farther still to bring us home.
