Today I bring you a post quite different than usual, and for this occasion I decided to play a totally different game: Garry's Mod!
I'm someone who spends a lot of time on social networks watching videos not only on Facebook, but also on TikTok (which is slowly becoming a time consuming vice for me), and I've seen a lot of videos where they play different game modes in Garry's Mod, as well as in Roblox but I haven't decided to play it yet.
So for this occasion, we decided to play the Backrooms, a game mode that basically consists of running away, because that's the only thing we did in this whole gameplay XD.
At the beginning of the video I explained a bit what this game mode was, and what we had originally planned. It was a bit complicated at the beginning because we don't have exactly the mods they use in those TikToks for the Backrooms, so we decided to improvise a bit with totally random monsters, but something had to haunt us after all, didn't it?
Our first protagonist (and the ones you can see in the video) were dinosaurs. At first we thought that just one would be fine because they are relatively fast and fit perfectly on the map; at the same time they are the ones that showed the best behavior. When we tested the first dinosaur (seen in the first part of the video) for some reason an automatic door managed to kill it. How? We have no idea XD.
Originally the video was going to be much longer, but my previous headset/microphone died so I have to improvise using WO-Mic on my phone (that's how I started making my first videos on 3speak haha). For some reason, when I connect via USB my phone my PC fails to detect the USB and the connection can't be established, so I have to do it from Wi-Fi.. and this at the same time is also a problem since my phone constantly has problems with the wifi, for some reason it disconnects itself every now and then XD.
We only played for an hour, and since we had quite a few problems (as you can see, in the video I had to stop the recording completely because the PC where @jotaunive was playing died), but after solving all that we decided to try other things. But, this whole experience was recorded without audio because I didn't realize that my microphone was disconnected and 15 minutes of recording were gameplay without commentary, so it didn't make much sense to add it XD.
I don't want to spoil too much, but we found a lot of things too strange. For example, at the end of the video you see that I arrived to a kind of town, and after going back and exploring a bit we noticed that there were some structures under the map that magically turned you into a kind of giant before the eyes of the other player, something really confusing and nonsense, but I guess we will find explanation the more we play this map.
The Backrooms are full of references and also signs that indicate something or other. For example, in the picture above there are some writings that tell you to stand still, what for? I have no idea, and even though I did it nothing happened. There's also a bunch of scribbles and nonsense text, so I didn't pay much attention to it and decided to keep exploring.
It's kind of funny because you feel like these are pretty big, but at the same time you feel like they're small. In the little bit I've played, I've felt like I'm already slowly learning all the map structuring.
Something we discovered was that we can become the monsters, and @jotaunive and I came up with the idea of playing 1v1 in the Backrooms haha. It's kind of like Hide & Seek, but no hiding places, just running to find an exit or get to another level, while the other person is in charge of constantly looking for you.
I feel like this game mode would be a hell of a lot better and more chaotic with friends, so if at some point the guys decide to download Garry's, I'm sure the games would be extremely good and fun.
But that's about it! I hope you enjoy the video. I left out a few parts that were indeed really fun despite being relatively short.

El día de hoy les traigo un post bastante diferente a lo usual, y es que para esta ocasión decidí jugar un juego totalmente diferente: ¡Garry's Mod!
Soy alguien que invierte mucho tiempo en redes sociales viendo videos no solamente en Facebook, también en TikTok (que lentamente se está convirtiendo en un vicio que me consume bastante tiempo), y he visto un montón de videos donde juegan distintos modos de juego en Garry's Mod, así como también en Roblox pero aún no me he decidido por jugarlo.
Así que para esta ocasión, decidimos jugar los Backrooms, un modo de juego que consiste en básicamente huir, porque es lo único que hicimos en todo este gameplay XD.
Al comienzo del video expliqué un poco el qué era este modo de juego, y lo que teníamos originalmente planeado. Fue algo complicado al comienzo porque no tenemos exactamente los mods que usan en esos TikToks para los Backrooms, así que decidimos improvisar un poco con monstruos totalmente random, pero algo nos debía perseguir después de todo, ¿no?
Nuestro primer protagonista (y los que se pueden ver en el video) fueron los dinosaurios. Al comienzo creímos que con solo uno estaría bien porque son relativamente rápidos y caben perfectamente en el mapa; al mismo tiempo son los que mostraron mejor comportamiento. Cuando probamos el primer dinosaurio (que se ve en la primera parte del video) por algún motivo una puerta automática logró asesinarlo. ¿Cómo? No tenemos ni idea XD.
Originalmente el video iba a ser mucho más largo, pero mi anterior audífono/micrófono murió por lo que tengo que improvisar utilizando WO-Mic en mi teléfono (así fue como comencé a hacer mis primeros videos en 3speak haha). Por algún motivo, cuando conecto a través de USB mi teléfono mi PC no logra detectar el USB y no se puede establecer la conexión, por lo que tengo que hacerlo desde Wi-Fi.. y esto al mismo tiempo también es un problema ya que mi teléfono tiene problemas constantemente con el wifi, por algún motivo se desconecta solo a cada rato XD.
Solo jugamos durante una hora, y ya que tuvimos bastantes problemas (como pueden ver, en el video tuve que detener la grabación totalmente porque la PC donde jugaba @jotaunive murió), pero luego de solucionar todo eso decidimos probar otras cosas. Peeero, toda esta experiencia la grabamos sin audio ya que no me había percatado que mi micrófono se había desconectado y 15 minutos de grabación fueron gameplay sin comentar, así que no tenía mucho sentido añadirlo XD.
No quiero spoilear mucho, pero encontramos un montón de cosas demasiado extrañas. Por ejemplo, al final del video se ve que llegué a una especie de pueblo, y luego de volver a ir y explorar un poco notamos que habían unas estructuras debajo del mapa que mágicamente te convertían en una especie de gigante ante los ojos del otro jugador, algo realmente confuso y sin sentido, pero supongo que encontraremos explicación mientras más juguemos este mapa.
Los Backrooms están llenos de referencias y también carteles que indican alguna que otra cosa. Por ejemplo, en la imagen de arriba hay unos escritos que dicen que te quedes quieto, ¿para qué? No tengo ni idea, y a pesar de que lo hice no sucedió nada. También hay un montón de garabatos y texto sin sentido, así que no le presté mucha atención y decidí seguir explorando.
Es bastante curioso porque sientes que estos son bastante grandes, pero al mismo tiempo sientes que son pequeños. En lo poco que he jugado, he sentido que ya me estoy aprendiendo poco a poco toda la estructuración del mapa.
Algo que descubrimos fue que podemos convertirnos en los monstruos, y @jotaunive y yo tuvimos la idea de jugar 1v1 en los Backrooms haha. Es como una especie de Hide & Seek, pero sin escondites, simplemente correr para buscar una salida o llegar a otro nivel, mientras que la otra persona se encarga de estar buscándote constantemente.
Siento que este modo de juego sería muchísimo mejor y más caótico con amigos, así que si en algún punto los muchachos deciden descargar Garry's, estoy seguro de que las partidas serían extremadamente buenas y divertidas.
¡Pero eso es todo! Espero que disfruten el video. Dejé unas partes que sí fueron realmente divertidas a pesar de ser relativamente corto.
