There's A Movie For That

2020 has finally ended (Thank God) and there is a lot to look forward to in the coming year. This week Ryan, Zach, and Dave talk about some of the movies they are looking forward to seeing in the new year. They also share their thoughts on Wonder Woman 1984.

It's the week between Christmas and New Years' where time ceases to exist. So this week Zach was once again joined by the official wife of the pod to not only discuss The Prom and Normal People but to talk about what has been going on in their life and share a big life announcement.

Alfred Molina is putting the metal arms back on to reprise his fan-favorite performance in Spider-Man 2 as Otto Octavius AKA Doctor Octopus. This coupled with news that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will be making appearances in the newest Spider-Man movie was just some of the Marvel news we got this past week. We talk about as much as we can that will be appearing on the big screen and the small screen. We also share our thoughts on Big Mouth Season 4, The Sound of Metal, and a binge-worthy MTV classic.

Warner Brothers announced it will release all of its 2021 movies on HBO Max, at the same time they debut in theaters. And if you have HBO Max it's not going to cost you anything extra. This is big news for the average movie watcher and movie theaters alike. Then we talk about the next big Oscar contender to come out from David Fincher as well as what movies could look like with the popularity of miniseries, especially The Queen's Gambit. Finally, we talk about the monoliths that are appearing all over the world that have some people calling alien.

We recorded this after Thanksgiving and not only are we full of stuffing but we are full of movie news. This week we talked about what was happening in Hollywood. Including why the internet lost its mind over Clifford, movies to stream in November, and why Netflix could be the first streamer to win the Best Picture Oscar. Both companies announced that its vaccines are over 94.5% effective in preventing the coronavirus. How did we get two potential vaccines so effective and safe in such a quick amount of time? As we say in Philadelphia - trust the scientific process. This week we discuss that process and the technology that got us to this point and why the vaccine can and should be trusted.
