Sabrina Zunich grew up in a troubled household, with both of her parents addicted to drugs and alcohol, and constantly in and out of prison. It was therefore with a bit of trepidation that she was welcomed into the home of Kevin and Lisa Knoefel; both of whom were experienced foster parents.

While initially challenging, Sabrina's life did take a turn for the better as she began to do well in school, and seemed to adjust to her new family. Only for all of it to come crumbling down in the most tragic manner.
