This past Sunday we watched the Rams win over the Bengals in Superbowl LVI, but we also watched what could arguably be one of the best halftime shows in modern Superbowl history.

Seeing Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar take the stage made me want to publish this podcast episode and take a look back at some of the most recent halftime shows at Superbowls.

It seems there has been a fresh surge of emails from venues, targeted Facebook ads, and Instagram posts from various artist all announcing upcoming shows for the end of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.

With that I began to wonder if live music really has returned? If so, then it is quite possibly time to revive the SoCal Live Music Review podcast, maybe even the whole brand.

Walk with me for a bit as I discuss what I think is going on and what that means for the brand!

So now that that's over, let's talk about some of the highs (yes there were a couple) and lows of this crazy year 2020.

Walk with me back down the dumpster fire of the past 10 - 12 months and what I am looking forward to in the next year.

This is a visually stunning performance by the entire cast and crew, and the vocals were incredible. I dive into what I loved seeing Hamilton and why I will be watching it again and again.

If I ever have the chance to see this musical live I will be there, for now I will watch it on Disney+

To help remember better times when we could all come together and enjoy live music I asked a few of my friends to recall their favorite concert experience.

Simple right?

Well not for most. Having attended multiple concerts or live events in their lifetimes gives many people a large library of shows to choose from. Each show stands out in it's own way. Each concert is special for it's own reason. Narrowing it down to one that stands out from the rest can be extremely difficult.

Luckily for me I was able to find 21 people who could share theirs!
