"How can I become more productive?" It's one of the frequent questions people ask. In many ways, being productive is the key to success in just about anything.
And so, in this video I will share 4 of my best productivity tips!
These are the productivity techniques and tips that got my productivity up from barely getting by to getting literally 10 times as much done as I used to! My tip would be not to underestimate these tips and pay close attention to the video.
When it comes to productivity, most people get it wrong from the start.
If you want to be more productive, answer me this: What are the absolute best things you can do TODAY that will contribute to your long-term goals? Why do those things matter more than anything else? And are you actually prioritizing them?
If you can answer the first two, you're already ahead of most people.
A common misconception about being more productive is that you need to do more things. That's simply not true. Productivity comes when you have the right intention and can work on it with clarity, without being distracted by this, that or the other thing.
To be more productive, you first need to be clear on what you want and what productivity looks like to you.
Once you have that initial hurdle out of the way, you can use other productivity tips and hacks to get more important work done in the same (or less) time. In order to do that, oftentimes it comes down to eliminating distractions.
So, let me ask you a few things about your productivity:
You're reading this description obviously. But how focused have you been on reading it? Did you have to reread certain paragraphs because your mind wandered, or you got distracted by something? Maybe it was thinking about what you'll have for dinner, something that happened at work, some random idea, the itch in your left foot.
If you're thinking about it, you might notice a lack of focus making you ineffective at the task of reading this. It's the same focus (or lack thereof) that determines how productive we are at pretty much anything.
Also, are you reading this WHILE listening to the video?
If so, can you remember what you have been hearing?
Multitasking is one of the biggest threats to our productivity. If you have been doing both at the same time, you will likely remember neither well. One of the simplest ways to increase our productivity is to focus on 1 thing and one thing only until it is completed!
And so, with that said:
I would urge and challenge you to dedicate your 100% attention to this video, take notes (pause if needed) and to implement these productivity tips into your own life.
They helped me a great deal, and I firmly believe they will help you become more productive as well.

Lacking the motivation to reach your goals?
You're not alone, since many people have the same issue!
And so, I decided to create this video on two levels of motivation you can use to fire yourself up and take action toward your goals. When you master the art of keeping yourself motivated, you have the ability to push through adversity to get things done!
Now, you'll hear me often talk about discipline as well.
So, what's the difference between motivation and discipline?
In order to be disciplined, you need the right kind of motivation. In essence, motivation comes from the word MOTIVE. In other words, WHY are you doing the things you're doing?
If you have a deep reason why you must succeed, you will do it.
Without a strong reason why, being disciplined becomes impossible.
And so, a huge part of motivation is digging into your own mind to figure out what it is that you TRULY desire. This goes beyond just surface level motivation, but instead is all about the deeper, emotional layers.

In your life, you have most like been told countless of times that if you want to become more successful, you have to work harder. And while I 100% believe in hard work as the foundation for success and all achievement...
That advice is incomplete and not enough to reach your goals!
As a sidenote, the other day I posted a video about why hard work alone is never enough to become success in life and to reach your life's goals! I share 3 crucial elements that you need to have in place first before hard work pays off: https://youtu.be/3K765XPjR2Y
For this video, what is the counter-intuitive advice to achieve your goals?
It's doing less, not more to achieve success faster!
At first sight, this advice might seem to make no sense at all, but there is real power in it. In many cases working harder will help you make progress towards your goals, but what about the bad habits and actions that take away your progress and derail you?
Let me give you an example:
If you're overweight and want to get yourself in shape, going to the gym more often is going to benefit you. But if you're laying on the couch for hours a day and eat snacks all the time, quitting that bad habit might actually be a more effective way to lose weight than exercising more.
And so, as you watch this video ask yourself:
What activities, mindsets, bad habits or people can you remove from your life in order to make faster progress towards your goals?
Let me put it like this:
Any day where you're not making progress towards your goals, you're moving further away from them! You're not just standing still, but rather your bad habits make you drift further away from the success that you want.
The more of these bad behaviors you can eliminate, the better!
All the best,

Why do we procrastinate?
Logically every person knows that procrastination is never a good strategy to live life by, but most people still do it constantly. So in order to overcome procrastination, we first need to examine why people procrastinate.
Here's a common misconception about procrastination:
It is not just laziness!
There are more deeply rooted psychological reasons why people procrastinate. One of the main reasons why people have cannot stop procrastination is because they don't understand it. And by default, if you don't know what the issue is, you have no shot at actually overcoming it.
So, let's dive into this:
Why do people actually procrastinate?
A lot of it goes back to our prehistoric times as people.
Back in those days, food was scarce and we were more active because we needed to hunt and forage to get food. In those times, if you were expanding energy without a good reason, you couldn't get enough energy from food to sustain yourself.
And so, taking action back in those times could mean death.
Our brains have evolved over hundreds of thousands of years, and only in recent times do we have the abundance that we have today. But our mind still operates in that same mode of trying to preserve as much energy as possible.
Meaning, we procrastinate as a protection mechanism.
Except, the thing we try to protect ourselves against doesn't exist anymore.
That survival instinct is one of the main reasons why procrastinators procrastinate. But luckily, we also have the tools within us to deal with procrastination, overcome it and get things done.
In this video I share what those tools are and how to overcome procrastination in your own life so that you can achieve your goals and live a fulfilling life.
