9:25 – 9:37 (12mins) Weekly Feature: “ FAKE NEWS!”
9:41 – 9:56 (15mins) Melanie Collette CFACT.org @CFACT
Policy Analyst for the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow.
Topic-Black History Month
"Black history isn’t a separate or adjacent chapter of American history. It’s woven into the very fabric of what makes this nation great. And as we approach America’s 250th year on the journey toward a more perfect union, this should be a moment for unity, not grievance politics. Policies that tell Black Americans we need to be rescued, that we’re permanent victims in need of special treatment, or that equity matters more than equal opportunity only deepen division. We can celebrate Black excellence without demonizing others. The Black American story is one of resilience, achievement, and progress for those willing to move forward together toward a unified nation."
