(Also posted as an article if you don't want to listen!)
This week I am telling a story about what happens when authenticity actually lands. Early in my HR Career, I walked into a manufacturing company where the union employees had built a wall between them and management. They did not trust HR and they certainly did not trust HR. But instead of staying behind the brick wall… I walked through it. Stood next to them. Learned their work. Treated them like humans. A few weeks in, on my birthday, they brought me flowers. Then a few weeks later at the fall festival, they asked me to be on their team. They chose me. Not because I was HR. Because I was Kris. This episode is about what joy actually looks like when you stop performing it, and start living it.
