Welcome to Season 2 !!!After "The Handshake" between the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta and the leader of opposition,Hon. Raila Odinga, a taskforce was put together to come up with recommendations on how unity and cohesion can be achieved and maintained in Kenya. The taskforce then came up with the BBI Report which among other things recommends certain amendments to the Constitution of Kenya 2020. The process of obtaining signatures required for a referendum on the same has began. The alarming lack of knowledge on what the report actually contains is what motivated me to do an extensive analysis of the Bill alongside the Constitution of Kenya 2010. What stood out for me was the blatant and insistent attack on Separation of Powers, which is an important principle of democracy. In this episode, I have highlighted a few recommendations that I found to be mischievous and potentially dangerous to out democracy. Enjoy, Learn and share!
