Episode 58 with Josey Scott. Josey is the former lead singer for the band Saliva. Saliva had several major hits in the early 2000's, including the songs "Your Disease", "Click Click Boom", "Always", "Rest in Pieces", and "Ladies and Gentlemen". It all started with the band BlackBone, and we went all the way through the years until we got to his current tour starting this weekend in Memphis this Saturday night at Growlers, Josey Scott Outlaw, with opening acts EMT and Todd Poole's Roxy Blue.
Josey shared some really good stories about how he ended up getting married at Graceland, how Saliva 'beat out' Billy Idol to tour with Kiss and Aerosmith in 2003 thanks mostly to Gene Simmons' son Nick, how he got the part on the TNT television series 'Wanted', his special relationship with one of Elvis' bodyguards, Red West, and by the way he talked about Todd Poole and Chris Dabaldo, there was a special friendship with both of them. He also tells us the incredible story how he met his wife Kendra and the life they share together along with their beautiful children.
I talk a lot in this episode about 'the power of a moment' and Josey had several of these moments that he shares with the audience. Every single one of them changed the course of his life, all for the better. This is an extremely long podcast, a little over 3 1/2 hours long, that we know will have to be watched or listened to over the course of several days. We were going to break it up into a few, but with his tour starting this weekend, we had to do it all at once. It was well worth it and was so much fun hearing all about his music and personal life too. I really think you will enjoy it. Thank you!
