One of the common questions that I come across is how does one earn respect?
Any kind of relationship requires some amount of respect to be meaningful. The answer is straightforward. You need to give respect to earn respect.
The answer sounds simple but it seems hard to implement in real life. The dynamics of every relationship are different so the give and take of respect varies a lot.
Respect in a husband/wife relationship will look different if compared with a politician or a bureaucrat.
A bureaucrat or politician has the perception that so many people respect them but mostly it is fake and out of some sort of fear. I don't want to mess with this guy.
It is a fear of the chair he occupies. It is the power that the chair holds that gets transferred to that person.
We lose interest in life when we lose the purpose of life.

You have an aim or goals in life. You achieve those goals and a sense of calmness or fulfillment arrives but rarely do we think it is short-lived. It is temporary whether you like it or not. You cannot control the randomness of life. It has to evolve into something. It is important to ask yourself "What next?"

No two humans are equals, no two kids are equals. We need to stop making kids better than their siblings or sadly not so good from their siblings. It is lifelong damage to the psyche of a kid. It is okay to be brilliant, it is okay to be average. Let kids find what they are good at and live a life where they explore at their own pace and find the purpose of life that makes them happy kids and later on happy adults.
