This week we speak with Katy Hessel about her career as Art Historian, Curator and Founder of @thegreatwomenartists Instagram. We reflect on a talk Katy presented at Christie’s Education in March entitled 'Women at Auction' and go on to hear about what inspired her to start her Instagram page. We also learn more about her opinions on the impact Instagram is having on the subject of art history.

Katy describes how exciting it is to work in an industry that she is so passionate about and focusses on the point where she realised that there was such a gender imbalance in the art world.

Katy also shares information about some of the shows she has curated and what she believes to be the key skills required to work in the art world.
