2020, where anything and everything seems possible, led to the longest shortest week in the history of the NBA off-season.  For the first time ever we saw "The One Week Offseason".  With trades, the draft and free-agency signings all happening in the span of a week, it has truly been a whirlwind of an off-season. In this episode, Hak and Ken break down the winners and losers, as well as take a deep dive into the high profile moves which positioned teams into either being a legitimate playoff contender or a way-off pretender. Welcome to the NBA Draft, an event which can drastically change the trajectory of an organization with just the selection of a single prospect. The right pick, and you separate yourself from the crowd. But the wrong pick, and you fall back multiple years into rebuilding. For this episode, we take another trip back in time and bring back our recurring theme of “What if…?”.  On this episode’s “What if”, we take a trip down memory lane to discuss a big time prospect who had all the hype around his name, and rightfully so. Greg Oden was the next big thing! He had all the promise of a taking whichever team that selected him to the big stage, the final dance. But like every story, the future is untold until that time is upon us. And time revealed a completely different story for Oden and the Blazers. It was almost as if history was repeating itself 20+ years later. Join Hak and Ken as they discuss what was in store for Oden and the Blazers had he stayed healthy.

In the midst of election season, it only seemed fitting that we take a deeper look into the NBA’s voting process; both from an overall perspective and specifically the NBA MVP.  After the announcement of the season MVP of the 2020 Bubble Season, the general consensus seemed to side with the sentiment that the voting process is “broken” or “flawed”, and mistimed. We all agree that the system needs to be improved and a revamping is in order. Hence, Hak and Ken step in to answer the call and join forces in a collaborative effort to propose a newer and more balanced solution. Adam, this one’s for you…because you the REAL MVP!

The “Charity Stripe”, aka, the freethrow line.  The most fundamental spot on the floor is where games are won and lost. It’s where legacies are made. It’s where time comes to a standstill. To allow the shooter a free attempt to score without anyone contesting. Not all free throws are created equal. And not all players are built to handle the pressure when the game is on the line.
