In today’s episode, I am joined by the truly amazing and super creative Amanda Cottrell. Amanda is a full time teacher, self-published author and mother of 1.

It was a truly enlightening conversation. Amanda’s vision is so beautiful and crystal clear. She was born to teach and help empower people by accessing their unique creative capacities.

Amanda’s journey began writing and illustrating Children’s Books to enhance the written curriculum and the unwritten curriculum in elementary school. Through years of experience she noticed that children need support in expressing themselves and in mindful ways.

She first set a goal for herself selling 1 book a day first and easily surpassed this and now sells over 4 books a day. By the time of the interview, she had nearly over 150 books (it ill definitely be way more by the time of this episode).

As a yoga and mindfulness enthusiast as well, Amanda uses her knowledge of yoga and mindful practices to guide her stories and get kids up and moving while or to connect to themselves on a deeper level.

Teaching is not just about guiding the students but also about learning along with them. Amanda believes in lifelong learning and is continuously taking courses in different areas of interest.

Believe, Create, Inspire! She truly is an inspiring woman who wears many hats with a B.A in Political Science, B.Ed in elementary education, M.Ed specializing in creativity and technology, Reiki master, yoga for young children instructor, artist, mom, author, illustrator and teacher. She also runs a small arts based business teaching art workshops.

I had the pleasure of interviewing the beautiful Tiana Myers. Tiana is a wife, mother of 2 children and a serial entrepreneur. She has been dubbed as a “relentless hustler” by those close to her.

Tiana's story is so touching and shows us all what is possible when you have that vision and dream and you do what it takes to make it happen. Being a “no matter what person”.

Tiana shares how she suffered huge heartbreak in 2018 with the miscarriage of her first child and fell into a spiral of depression soon after. During her healing process, Tiana found the inner strength to turn her pain into her biggest credential and experienced a journey of rebirth in her life and business through the creation of her business -  Taylor Joy Productions, an online education business in loving memory of her rainbow baby Taylor Joy.

Taylor Joy Productions provides creative solutions for children and adults to fall back in love with Maths. Tiana is on a mission to impact 5000 children over the next 5 years to do just this and really embrace maths mastery in a fun and simple way by “bringing Mathematics to life”.

She runs this alongside busy household being a full time mum and her existing commercial lending company.

Tiana openly talks about the challenges she has faced along the way and also how she is able to juggle everything that she does by really investing in herself; having a date with herself. She talks about how she has created a structured environment at home so that she can really leverage her small pockets of time so she can pour back into herself and her business.
