Motorcrosslegende Aloysius Dekort herbeleeft in deze podcast de rauwe jaren ‘70 als topsporter. Zijn verhaal loopt over van nostalgie en onbezonnen avontuur. Aloysius reed in volle Koude Oorlog vastberaden naar Oekraïne, hij sliep op strobalen de nacht voor een belangrijke wedstrijd en doorkruiste onvermoeibaar heel Europa voor zijn grote passie: zijspan motorcross.
Met zijn stalen side-car werd Aloysius Dekort onverbiddelijk zesvoudig Belgisch Kampioen en won hij een troffeeplank vol aan internationale prijzen.
In de podcast Terug Vooruit ga ik op zoek naar straffe verhalen die nooit verloren mogen gaan. Naar avontuur van een tijd waarin podcasts nog niet bestonden. Avontuur van toen de auto’s nog stonken en de mensen niet wisten dat roken ongezond was. Avontuur met heimwee naar vroeger, naar toen het allemaal beter was.
En waar beter te beginnen dan bij mijn eigen grootvader…
