  • This is Spaceship Earth - we Have a Problem Part II (Hawaii: State Of Clean Energy)

We Have Solutions.  The host for this show is Mitch Ewan.  The guests are Peter Sternlicht and Noel Morin.

This is the 2nd episode in a series of discussions about the "Perfect Storm" of a) climate change, b) over-reach caused by population and consumption rate of growth, and c) resource depletion at a time when we need more "STUFF" than ever. The first episode defined the problem: the challenge of an economic system that demands and rewards both continuous growth and the lack of public understanding about the relationship between energy and productivity. This second episode presents and discusses an overview of the first set of solutions: energy efficiency (doing more with less) and energy conservation (using less energy – turning off lights). This solution allows us to optimize energy use. Importantly, this is a solution that is within reach of individuals and can impact many facets of our lives. It will require a shift in our consumption mindset as well as an awareness of the pocketbook benefits of efficiency. Future episodes will introduce practical ways save both energy and money.

  • Feeling Good in Difficult Times (Coronavirus and Our Mental Health)

Movie Therapy.  The host for this show is Ken Burtness.  The guest is Greg MacDonald.

People see themselves: the good, the bad, and the in-between. If their self-image is mostly good, if they feel they are increasing their positive attributes and decreasing their negative attributes, they tend to feel satisfied, happy. This is very difficult in a world seen as increasingly negative with little they can do about it. In a world caught in a pandemic, whose climate is changing dangerously, a divisive world where war is a constant threat, more people are subject to depression, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness. People need to feel better about themselves. They need to feel hope that things will get better, that they can help.

  • Jan 6 Hearings, Election Officials Pressured (American Issues Take One)

Trump's Search for 11,780 Votes in GA.  The hosts for this show are Tim Apicella and Jay Fidell.  The guests are Cynthia Lee Sinclair and Winston Welch.

On Tuesday, the fourth Jan 6 House Select Committee Hearings takes place. The focus of testimony will be on those election officials in Georgia and Arizona that were pressured to either overturn vote counts or find enough votes to win the state. In the case of Georgia, Trump's infamous demand to the Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to find 11,780 is shocking to hear no matter how many times the media replays his recorded statement. Our discussion also tackles the issue of how Americans might respond if the DOJ decides to criminally charge (or not charge) Trump given his role in the Jan 6 insurrection attack of the Capital.
