Third Verse Extra

We called DJ Brace way down in California, where he's working on a number of new projects with collaborators across North America! Over the last couple decades of his career, Brace has reset the bar numerous times with his turntabilism, creativity, approach to music creation and conceptualization. He's got an incredible viewpoint on how he sees music and music equipment and this was a conversation that might change how you view making music as a vehicle of thought!

Had a great conversation with vancity MC and actor Kaboom, as he strolled the streets. Learned about his early come up with Ink Operated, winning soundclass battles, rapping live on the radio, meeting Birdapres and DJ Moves all the way up to his latest release with Aalo Guha, Air Ease, released earlier this year. His perspective on making and inventing art continues to fuel his drive and inspriration!

Correction for the intro discussion, Kaboom was born in New West, but grew up in Surrey.

We checked in with Canadian coast-to-coast legend, Birdapres, now in Toronto, by way of Vancouver and Winnipeg. This has been one we've been looking forward to for a long time! Bird has an incredible memory for the history of the canadian scenes he's been a part of, and we got the best rundown of Vancouver history from one of the earliest members. Definitely made note to make appointments for more interviews from this point! Few technical difficulties, and as a result, we didn't learn about the infamous Checkin For Ya/Now 12" (one of saskatoon's favourites) but we'll leave that for next time!

Extra extra tracks on this one, cause its so hard to choose!
