We've got a quarantine re-release on our hands! It's time to revisit an HBO documentary, readily available for your couch-glued-butts.
We've reached episode 100! Thanks to quarantine, it's not as special, but hey - [unemployed] comedians Mike and Gerrit are still here to entertain you! This week, the boys saw Disney & Pixar's latest venture, "Onward." Starring the voices of Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, the question remains - is it any good?
Happy Quarantine everybody! Mike and Gerrit did another phoner on account of the lockdown. In this episode, the boys watch Noah Baumbach's new Oscar nominated film "Marriage Story," starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, but the biggest question remains:
Happy Quarantine! Mike and Gerrit weren't able to get together again this week on account of the lockdown. So, we've got a phoner conversation for you guys! In this episode, the boys watch Martin Scorsese's latest film, "The Irishman." Starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, this film was nominated for a slew of awards. Unfortunately, your charismatic co-hosts could not get together this week, so you get a re-release! One of the most divisive movies in TBBG history is "Overlord." Enjoy this episode if you haven't heard it, or enjoy it if you're diving in again!
Has Universal finally been able to get their Monster Universe off the ground with Leigh Whannell's new incarnation of "The Invisible Man?" Starring Elisabeth Moss as Cecilia, a woman in an abusive relationship, this new version gives a new twist to an old story. But the question is - do we have a good movie on our hands?
On this episode, Mike and Gerrit saw a Blumhouse film. That film is "Fantasy Island," starring Lucy Hale, Michael Peña and a slew of others. Helmed by "Truth or Dare" director Jeff Wadlow, this is another film under the Blumhouse belt but hey - you know the question - is it any good?
No one asked for it, but here we have a live-action Sonic The Hedgehog movie. Starring James Marsden, Jim Carrey, and featuring the voice of Ben Schwartz, this movie was plagued by a loathsome first reaction to the titular character in its first promotional trailer. The character was retooled and this is what we get. Did Mike and Gerrit, your two wonderful hosts, like the finished product?
This week, Gerrit and Mike see the spin-off sequel to "Suicide Squad." Formerly titled, "Birds Of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn," this film went through a title change because of low box office ratings, but the question remains, does that make Margot Robbie's new film better?
