Episode 36- What Kind Of Friend Are You? by ThisCantBeLyfe Podcast

The ladies took a small leave of absence, but they returned and took a trip down memory lane. Their very first episode was about hoes and if they're really winning. This week they were inspired by Passport Cutty, who says that she would rather be called a "hoe" then a "bitch". Legend Eva and KayTheRebel explored their perspective on what it means to be a hoe or a bitch.

The ladies skipped a week so they had to make up for it with a free style episode. They discussed all of the madness in Hollywood: Cardi B vs Nicki, Nas vs Kelis, drug usage in hip hop, the Bobby Brown story and much more. The episode ended with them going beneath the surface and discussing being "full" and that most of the time happiness is temporary.

Another male guest, by the name of King Jeano, joined the ladies at for a roundtable discussion. He shared his thoughts on what approach he takes when interested in a woman, his take on threesomes and what his preferences were when it comes to dating women with children. King Jeano also touched base on what it's like being a young, black business owner and how that interferes with his dating life. The ladies grilled him for sure, but some things he just would not share.

KayTheRebel records this week's episode alone. She took the time to address how she is often perceived as being "bougee" & someone who has their nose in the air. She begs to differ as perception is not always reality. She gave examples of when and why she is labeled as bougee and refuted each argument. On this brief episode, she was strong in her conviction that you should never apologize for your lifestyle and/or accomplishments and to never dumb yourself down just to make others feel better.

This episode was brought to you by Legend Eva. She led the way and KayTheRebel followed as they discussed fuck boys and male bashing. They also discussed finances and how it impacts our relationships. Why doesn't anyone ever point out the fact that men have "mommy" issues? Why aren't women more accountable when it comes to the role they play in failed relationships? The episode ended with the ladies being honest about why they choose to fat/ugly shame.

Legend Eva interviewed her cohost KayTheRebel as she celebrated her two year anniversary with her husband "Keyz". He let the audience know he wasn't the best guy prior to meeting KayTheRebel while KayTheRebel let it be known why she felt he was worth marrying regardless of his past. The couple answered all of Legend Eva's questions with 100% honesty and let her know their struggles as a married couple and how they are able to push through as marriage is NEVER easy!!!!

The ladies were finally granted the opportunity to continue carrying out The Male Species segment with guest "King Kirko". He definitely shocked the ladies as they learned a lot from him while he answered all of their questions unapologetically. King Kirko discussed what he learned as a man when making mistakes in past relationships. He also described his experience of being in a long-term, committed interracial relationship. Views on marriage, giving it up on the first date and so many other topics were covered on this episode.

On this week's episode, KayTheRebel and Legend Eva discuss some of the black women who they find inspiring or they simply admire. A heated debate occurred in regards to black women and why there is division amongst them. They took a deeper look at themselves and struggled to draw a conclusion on why they don't always embrace other black women. A major part of the episode included their thoughts on why black women often have insecurities.

On this week's episode, the ladies introduce a new segment where they take some of their favorite films and discuss social/life issues surrounding the film. In the late film "Thin Line Between Love & Hate", they were most intrigued by the two main characters, Brandy & Darnell. Did Darnell deserve what he had coming to him? Was Brandy someone who was insane or had just been pushed over the edge after being hurt too many times? KayTheRebel introduced her philosophy on why men juggle different women as Darnell did and Legend Eva discussed why women ignore the signs when that inner voice is saying "he ain't no damn good".
