IT'S NOT FREE TO BE A MISSIONARY - SUPPORT MIGUEL ALVAREZ!

Helping another is what we are trying to do with this episode.  We always encourage our young people to go out into the world and make a difference.  To share the good news and evangelize in word and deed but we forget there is a personal and financial cost to going on mission.  It is not FREE!
It took Miguel Alvarez 5 years to discern to go on his mission trip and he is discerned to give one year of his life to serving the other but he does need help in financing his mission.  Therefore, This Connected Podcast is asking for your donation towards bringing Miguel to his goal.  We are committing everything we receive from our PayPal donation Account to go to Miguel.  We need $8,000 and I know and pray that you can help us get closer to that amount.

In this episode our guest is Alex Barraza, Regional Coordinator for Youth & Young Adult Ministry, Pastoral Juvenil with the Diocese of Sacramento , California, USA.  Alex shares a little about his life experiences in life and in the church as a father, a missionary, a youth minister in places like South Carolina and Minnesota.  He shares his wonderful and inspirational stories about the grace from God and raising his children.

Although this episodes focus was to be about Racism; we have to say that it only just cracks open the door to what the country, the Church and people of God has and continue to go through.  This was a conversation to crack open that door.  We hope and pray that we will soon in the future open wide the doors of acceptance and healing where all people are welcome and bigotry is removed from our hearts and we may all see each other as God sees us, imago dei.

Being pro-life is not just about abortion. 
 
In this episode our guest Father Manny Cardoza, a Catholic priest from Our Lady of Hope in the Diocese of San Bernardino shares what he has been doing in the inner city of San Bernardino. From monthly Mass in front of the two largest abortion clinics in the county located a few minutes away from each other to working the inner city to stop the violence affecting the community.  His pastoral approach to his community and the youth and young adults of the area is inspiring.  Learn what Fr.
