CARLOS: Is the Child Snatcher a Hans Landa inspiration?

MOLLY: If you scrape away the child catcher with a meat hook, the chauvinistic xenophobia, an original author with serious Madonna-whore issues, the repeated attempted spousal murder, a dog that falls to his death during a dance number about candy, and about five songs too many by characters you don't care about, it's a pretty decent Mary Poppins stand-in with, let's face it, one of the catchiest earworms of a theme song in any kid's movie.

AARON: I bought the soundtrack decades after the movie came out and didn't actually watch the movie until decades later. The movie plays like the songs, taking itself seriously, but not too seriously.

CARLOS: One last job to Groovy Funk soundtracks. So it's like fun 'Heat', basically.

MOLLY: The most culturally influential texts of the 20th century: The Great Gadsby, Childhood's End, The Heart of Darkness, and Superfly.
