Episode 034: This is Endurance Challenge Normandie
The new ideas that inspire us will bring new and tough challenges when we work to make them into reality. But sometimes all we need is just one “Yes” to make it all happen! This week, JD and Ashley welcome Kate Curtis and Matt Simms - the founders of Endurance Challenge Normandie - to the show for a discussion about this new ultra endurance run / swim event that will cover all 60 miles of the D-Day landing beaches in Normandy, France. Also an event of inspiration and remembrance for those who sacrificed on June 6, 1944, the ECN has been in development for a long time. Kate and Matt share how they got the “Yes” they needed, the reasons why they decided to make the event happen, and how they were able to see their way through all the challenges they’ve faced along the way.
Please see this episode’s notes for the ECN website and for a link to the organization’s ongoing fundraising effort to support their upcoming logistics trip to Normandy- the last step before launching the inaugural event next year!
Listen and be inspired and moved by the story of the Endurance Challenge Normandie!
