On Friday, June 29th, MUSE hosted techno pioneer John Tejada for a second time. Rather than a simple DJ set, John prepared a special live hybrid set consisting of… “pieces of other artist’s music. A chord line from a 69 record, a Basic Channel beat, a kick drum I’ve made and some hardware box to play some synth lines along. It’s sort of the best of both worlds for me.”

The result is an hour-long traverse across the valleys of Drum and Bass that displays why he remains one of the most favored artists to come out of Los Angeles.

For Club Muse’s 21st version of This is IT, Tim Parker wanted to bring something different than his norm by starting off in the leisurely 105 BPM range, then sauntering his way into some headier 140. The result is a perfect soundtrack for your Sunday afternoon, that monotonous workday or any other time you need some refreshing beats in your life.

This is IT! Club Muse celebrates its 20th podcast version today, and with it comes a new, abbreviated moniker and a refined, yet true-to-the-original look. For this special occasion we thought we’d keep it local and ask long-time Angeleno, Kingpin, to give us a second offering and show us where he’s at with his cultured taste in EDM. Kingpin’s last effort for Interesting Times was a multi-genre trip through big tune after big tune. For his encore performance, he focuses in more closely on the sounds of today’s main-room Techno and Progressive. Massive mixes, twisted vibes, expect nothing less. The gloves are off for this one!

Friday night is almost here and we couldn’t be more excited as Muse + Smog once again team up to bring you a night of heady music with 2562, residents Kuru and Kemst, and Interesting Times: Version.18 featured artist, Eezir. Download his mix that pleasantly combines some of what’s in store for the 25th – Techno, Dubstep and more than a healthy dose of CEREBRAL BASS!

It’s been over half a year since Kuru has put out a mix, not to mention one focusing on the fascinating 170BPM tempo where so many producers are spitting out both classic sounds and new school syncopation. While these days their efforts our aimed at Techno in various forms, they couldn’t help but step back into their roots and provide the Club Muse fans with this Minimal DnB compilation.
