On this episode I get to interview Lars “Gumbo” Frohn from the band Neon Bone. We both seemed to be nervous for this interview, Gumbo because of his lack of speaking English through the pandemic, and me being nervous because to me, he’s a pretty big deal. We shake those nerves though and have a wonderful conversation about how Neon Bone started out as a side-project, how it’s been a one-man operation with him playing everything, and doing the recordings himself the last several years. We also chat about getting into punk rock while growing up in a small town in Germany, how Fat Wreck Chords and a certain compilation changed his life, his early years playing in hardcore and rock bands, and how seeing one band live set the motion for him starting the band that he can see doing for the rest of his life.
