‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:22‭-‬26‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[22] And while they were eating, He took a loaf [of bread], praised God and gave thanks and asked Him to bless it to their use. [Then] He broke [it] and gave to them and said, Take. Eat. This is My body. [23] He also took a cup [of the juice of grapes], and when He had given thanks, He gave [it] to them, and they all drank of it. [24] And He said to them, This is My blood [which ratifies] the new covenant, [the blood] which is being poured out for (on account of) many. [Exod. 24:8.] [25] Solemnly and surely I tell you, I shall not again drink of the fruit of the vine till that day when I drink it of a new and a higher quality in God's kingdom. [26] And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6‭-‬11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[6] Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, [7] Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.] [8] Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. [9] Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset–rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. [10] And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. [11] To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:6‭-‬7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[6] That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]. [7] For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[18] There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:7‭-‬9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[7] But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ's sake. [8] Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One), [9] And that I may [actually] be found and known as in Him, not having any [self-achieved] righteousness that can be called my own, based on my obedience to the Law's demands (ritualistic uprightness and supposed right standing with God thus acquired), but possessing that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ (the Anointed One), the [truly] right standing with God, which comes from God by [saving] faith.

‭‭John‬ ‭1:3‭-‬5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[3] All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. [4] In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. [5] And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139:23‭-‬24‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[23] Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! [24] And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:19‭-‬22‬ ‭GW‬‬

[19] I wish that you would kill wicked people, O God,and that bloodthirsty people would leave me alone.[20] They say wicked things about you.Your enemies misuse your name.[21] Shouldn’t I hate those who hate you, O Lord?Shouldn’t I be disgusted with those who attack you?[22] I hate them with all my heart.They have become my enemies.

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139:17‭-‬18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[17] How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! [Ps. 40:5.] [18] If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You.

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139:13‭-‬16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

[13] For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb. [14] I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. [15] My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. [16] Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.
