Today on the In Between, Hayley and Amy give a quick update about what has been put on their hearts for the future of This is our Village.
The heart behind ‘This is our Village’ has always been about creating community and bringing people into this ‘village’- its even in the name - this is OUR village.
Hayley and Amy chat about what God has laid on their hearts for the future of the podcast, how they’d love you to be a part of that and their hopes to expand the TIOV team!
Please have a listen, give feedback and share this challenge with anyone you think may benefit from a community of mothers, sharing real stories and real experiences to point each other back to God and support one another through this dynamic journey of being mums!
❤️ thank you for being a part of this Village!
Today we have the honour of talking to the beautiful Ruth Ridley!
Ruth and her husband, Dave have a deep love for the Lord, and have been involved in a variety of ministry roles over the years, from structured ministry to spontaneous prompting from the Spirit.

7: This week on the In Between, we talk about something a little heavier as Amy reflects on the last few months since the sudden loss of her Dad.
She shares with us what she has learnt through both the grieving process, and the logistical process since his passing.
The loss of a loved one is not something anyone wants to think about before it happens, and preparing for your own passing can feel extremely uncomfortable, however, Amy shares the important things she has picked up the last couple of months that she thinks everyone should hear.
6: This week on the IN BETWEEN, we chat about Motherhood and Mental Health.
Being a mother is a dynamic and complex role, full of amazing blessings but also some serious trials. Caring for your mental health is important no matter what role or situation you may be in, but especially when you’re a mama looking after your kids.
Today Hayley shares about how the last few weeks have been for her and her little men, and what she’s put in place to support them through this time.
We pray this episode will help you feel seen and understood ❤️

Let us know if you try out any of these recommendations! And, we’d love to hear your date night tips!
In this week’s episode we chat to Ruth Emmerson!
Ruth is a mama to two beautiful boys, she is a farmers wife in rural Victoria, and she is passionate about ministry!
Ruth share her story with us, from the beginning of her personal faith, to show God used important leaders/mentors to lay youth ministry on her heart, how He has led her and her husband to the church they’re in now and how her ministry has moved into motherhood.
We hope you’re encouraged by Ruth’s story!
This week on the IN BETWEEN, we reflect on our recent chat with Sheila Wray Gregoire about her book The Great Sex Rescue.
We were so blessed by our conversation with Sheila, and we’ve received such positive feedback from others that have found the episode (and her resources) super helpful!
Today we chat about the things that stood out to us, our personal reflections on this book and Sheila’s wider works, and the reason we think these conversations are so important!
We’d love to hear how you found it too!
Today we have the privilege of chatting to popular blogger, and award winning author- Sheila Wray Gregoire.
We have both followed Sheila’s work for many years, and have found her resources to be great encouragement along the way, so we’re very excited to be bringing you this chat today!
Sheila and her team conducted an in-depth survey of more than 20,000 christian women about their sex lives/marriages and beliefs about sex and marriage. During this process they uncovered some really concerning, and widely taught attitudes and beliefs circulating in the evangelical world, which motivated The Great Sex Rescue.
‘In their new research-based book, they dig into the data—existing research on evangelicalism and sexuality, their extensive survey and focus groups, and the 15 most popular Christian resources on sex and marriage—to help women discover what beliefs are holding their sex lives hostage, and provide them with the roadmap to experiencing amazing, mind-blowing, great sex.’
We pray this episode may challenge and encourage you!
