Dame Luke and LC recap NFL Week 6 and look ahead to Week 7 as the Contender Board enters its last-chance window. Both hosts make a permanent decision on the Los Angeles Rams, while the San Francisco 49ers claim the top spot in the Power Index for the second consecutive week.

The conversation also covers Kansas City’s undefeated start, Seattle’s ability to compete with elite teams, Buffalo’s reliance on Josh Allen and the dangerous teams currently sitting outside the Power Index Top 10.

Three weeks in, some contenders are living on borrowed time.

Dame Luke and LC review NFL Week 3 and look ahead to Week 4 as their Contender Boards face tougher questions. LC sends the Patriots to the Graveyard and adds Jacksonville. Dame Luke holds onto New England but moves Kansas City up to No. 3. Who’s showing patience and who’s ignoring the warning signs?

The Power Index makes its on-air debut with the Top 10, King of the Hill, Biggest Riser, Biggest Faller, and teams entering and leaving the Top 10.

Plus, Check the Receipts and fresh Pick Six predictions: LC leads 8–2, both hosts pick the Raiders to upset the Chiefs, and Dame Luke calls at least two Josh Allen rushing touchdowns against New England.

EPISODE 3: THE FIRST CONTENDER FALLS

The adjustment window is open and the first contender has been sent to the Graveyard.

After Tampa Bay’s 0–2 start, Dame Luke removes the Buccaneers from his Contender Board and replaces them with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. LC chooses patience and keeps his entire board intact.

This week, the guys debate:

🏈 Is Buffalo’s offense covering up a major defensive problem?
🏈 Are the Seahawks legitimate contenders or fool’s gold?
🏈 Should LC remove New England if the Patriots have a losing record after Week 5?
🏈 Can Kyle Shanahan finally win the big one?

Week 1 is in the books, and Dame Luke and LC are already asking the question at the center of Episode 2: Is this still a rivalry?

The Contender Boards remain locked, but that does not mean the picks are safe from criticism. The hosts review which teams changed their opinions, which Week 1 reactions are overreactions, and whether the Rams or Broncos have the more fixable problems.

Then it is time to Check the Receipts including LC’s four-touchdown prediction for Dak Prescott before revealing the first preliminary This Is Our Year Power Index. The numbers are beginning to build, but three completed NFL weeks are needed before the index becomes official.

Finally, Dame Luke and LC make their Week 2 Pick Six selections: one Lock, one Upset and one Wild Card each. They agree on one major upset, go head-to-head on Cowboys versus Commanders, and close with the question: Is this matchup still a real rivalry?

Episode 1 — Put It on the Board

Welcome to the first episode of This Is Our Year, where football fans Dame Luke and LC take the conversations we have at the bar, in the barbershop and on the couch—and put our predictions on the record to find out who actually gets to say, “This is our year.”

In Episode 1: Put It on the Board, we're making our first predictions of the season—and once they're on the record, there’s nowhere to hide.

THE CONTENDER BOARD
Dame Luke and LC each reveal the five teams they believe have the best chance to win the Super Bowl. There are some agreements, some major differences—and one Cowboys fan has some explaining to do when Dallas doesn't make his own board.

THE POWER INDEX
We introduce the system that will track all 32 teams based on what they actually do on the field. The Contender Board is about what we believe. The Power Index is about what teams prove.

PICK SIX
Every week, each host puts three predictions on the record:
Lock — 1 point
Upset — 2 points
Wild Card — 3 points

Week 1 starts at 0–0, but the first receipts are already waiting.

And the takes don't stop with the boards. Dame Luke makes the case that the San Francisco 49ers will miss the playoffs and questions whether Kyle Shanahan will ever be the coach to finally get them over the Super Bowl hump. LC puts four Dak Prescott touchdowns on the board, while Dame backs his Washington Commanders to upset the Philadelphia Eagles.

Some of these predictions are going to look brilliant.

Some are going to age terribly.

We're keeping the receipts either way.

At the end of every episode, there’s only one question:
