I was about twelve or thirteen when I almost lost my mother to a health scare.  What made it all the more harder for me is that she got sick on my birthday of all days.  From that point on my birthday stopped being a day to be celebrated and instead served as a constant reminder of what almost was....Until this year!  Tune in as I talk about how I overcame this struggle and managed to have one of the best birthdays I've ever had.
