Into Our Hands Community Foundation has invested more than $1.5 million into Wangaratta and our surrounding communities since 2012. This funding has helped establish, or sustain, hundreds of community initiatives, including many of the organisations featured in this podcast.

We talk to Jess Zuber from the SES Wangaratta Unit about the critical role they play in helping our community in times of need following natural disasters. It's hard to know where rural communities like Wangaratta would be without the SES's quick response, expertise and dedication, and Jess talks about what they do and how the Wangaratta community can get involved.

We start the new year at the Wangaratta Library, but we talk about more than just books! Loueen Twyford and Tanya Hopper cover all the many and varied services and programs on offer. So if you're looking for a place to connect with groups, engage with programs, find some fun for the kids, and maybe read a book or two, then our library is the community loungeroom you need.

In this episode we talk to two of our emergency food relief services, including Trudy Cornish from the Wangaratta Carevan and David Still from Anglicare's Loaves and Fishes program. Both provide an invaluable service to the Wangaratta community, whether it's the cooked meals by the Carevan (available Mon-Wed at Apex Park between 6pm-7pm), or groceries and essential items from the Loaves and Fishes program.
