Maitreyee Joshi: Movement, Body–Mind, and the Nervous SystemMaitreyee Joshi is Movement Artist based, contemporary dancer, choreographer, and performer whose work explores the philosophies of the body and the significance of vitality and movement in today’s world. She weaves together contemporary dance, theatre, and yoga to examine themes of identity and accessibility. She has foundational training in Kathak and Latin American dance and a diploma in Movement Arts and Mixed Media from the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts. Maitrayee has a research-driven approach to her work. Moving our bodies is good for preventing chronic disease, managing our weight, preventing Alzheimer’s and much more.
