Ep 30 We bring in the New Year with a lil story on the Pendleton family from England to Virginia, did Catherine Pendleton put a curse on us? What is Women's Christmas? 

Happy Holidays! We decided to make it light this week, or did we? Our goal was to each research a random Christmas "letter" and then attempt their family line. Char found a WW2 yuletide love letter and well, Jackie found an amazing tale and then some! 

This months listener ep took us on a wild ride that begins mostly in Omagh, Ireland. Tales of the Greer settlement in New Brunswick,  Canada and a whole lotta Philadephia! What are the nickel mines in Pennsylvania? Who cares, because the girls found something monumental this week! 

Fun times this week traipsing around Brandywine Hundred discussing the Talley family, a trip down Foulk Road. Also, Jackie is dying of au poisoning and has never seen the film, The Lawnmower man.

The girls cover a story bringing to light a tragic murder tale. George Tompkins upon leaving Carrolltown, PA with a family of 3 others, murdered the entire family. Mr. Tompkins, the husband of Beulah Hubbell, and son of Marietta Hubbell, is our family link. True Crime Fans just might appreciate the tale. 

In honor of National American Indian Heritage Month we pay homage to iconic Jimi Hendrix and his Cherokee family roots. Jackie has pie and Charlotte had a nightmare. 

This week we take a glance at the Wheeler family in New England and New York. From our line in particular, Hannah French and her two spouses, William Wheeler and Silas Hubbell, both hailing from the very old and huge Wheeler line. Jackie shares some Puritan slang!

Char and Jack time travel back to Riccia, Campobasso, Molise, Italy in honor of little Charlotte's upcoming birthday and her Calabrese lineage. Like bread crumbs and macaroni? Or is it St. Joseph's pasta? Time travel with us back to south Philadelphia and maybe learn a little about the iconic Defeo duck farm in southern NJ!

Ep 22 leads the girls back to one of the beginning lines in their Virginia roots. Through genetic genealogy the Faulconer and Perry names were discovered with roots in Orange County, Virginia for generations. They also discuss how the surname Faulconer was born from the ancient practice of Falconry! 

Walter Fest comes to a finale with our Halloween episode. The girls discuss eerie family stories and Great Uncle Walter Hubbell and his book the Great Amherst Mystery.
