The ignition of the trio's friendship, the foundation of Kat, Sutton, and Jane's characters, and of course Rob Lowry’s music choices make this episode better than we could have imagined.

Alternatively titled Dick’s friends suck, we discuss the dinner party that brings up some issues for Sutton and Richard; temporarily claim Jane as our favorite for taking Patrick down a peg; and explore the beginnings of Kat and Tia.

We discuss how much more grounded #theboldtype feels when Jane’s main romance is with Scarlet and Jacqueline is the vessel, how a positive and well done abortion storyline doesn’t necessarily feel organic, and examine Sutton’s struggles to get Oliver’s approval for her design seminar.
