What rules do you have to follow? What rules does Jesus want us to follow? And what rule is the most important one? See how Jesus answered that question a long time ago! His answer is still a good one for us to listen to today.

This week we continue hearing stories from Genesis, and we meet Abram and Sarai - who later become Abraham and Sarah. Their story is very, very, very long, but we'll hear about how they decided to listen to God's voice and believe God's promises (even when those promises made them laugh out loud!).

A lot happens through Abraham and Sarah's story. You can read more in Genesis 12-18 in your bible!

This week we hear another story from the very beginning of our bible. In the garden God made, the people were given freedom to make their own choices... and they made a not-so-good choice that changed things. But God's love never gave up on them, and never gives up on us, either!

Want to dig a little deeper into the story of these first human beings? Grab your bible and check out Genesis 2-3.

This Little Light is back! This fall, we'll be hearing stories from the first part of our bible, what we sometimes call the Old Testament or the Hebrew Bible.

Today, we'll start at the very beginning, with one of the stories that tells us how God made the world and everything it.

Want to read this story in more detail? Grab a bible and check out Genesis 1:1-2:4a. And did you know that there's actually a second creation story in our bibles? Check out Genesis 2:4b-25 for another creation story. What do you notice that's the same between these two stories? What's different?

A very special day is coming up on Sunday, June 8, 2025: Pentecost!

We sometimes call this day the birthday of the church, which is a good reason to have a party! Join Pastor Katie to hear the story of the first Pentecost (Acts 2:1-11 in your bible) and become Pentecost Party Planners to celebrate the Holy Spirit gifts God gives us.

p.s. Pastor Katie is planning the fall season of This Little Light, and would love to hear from you! Visit thislittlelight.info/contact to share your ideas for the show.
