Gender Disappointment, is there such a thing? A topic we feel that is not spoken about enough! It does not mean our babies are not loved beyond measure or we are ungrateful for a happy healthy bub, but is it ok to have a gender preference? An ideal in your head about what your family dynamic will look like?
So many Qs! Not enough answers.
We also talk through Fiona's big news, she's having a baby GIRL! Hand me downs, gender neutral clothing, you name it, we spoke about it!
The practicalities of dresses, and oh ya baby brands are testing us with their design choices!!!!
We would love to hear from you, reach out to [email protected] if you would like to share your story on our podcast!

Does anyone know Chrissie Swan? How many sq metres is Fiona's face? Why do Mums swear they are going to bed early and then stay up until midnight watching tv? Why are we constantly wearing leggings? Where did our fashion sense go?
There is A LOT of conversation happening this week at This Mama's hip HQ. We discuss the numerous habits that have consumed our Mama journeys, some you can probably relate to. We swear to make more of an effort with ourselves, get out of activewear and bring back some fashion, I mean why can't us Mamas be fashionable with little ones on our hips?
We sparked up some funny conversations, I mean are you even a Mama if you don't reflect on old or new habits and laugh at yourself!
Big Love,
As challenging as parenting is, parenting in a pandemic is a whole different ball game!
In this week's episode, we shed a positive spin on what its been like for us rearing babies in this pandemic! We know it's not always rainbows and butterflies, but there is enough negativity in the world and we prefer to focus on the good times ahead!
The world is a big place and we cannot wait to tick off that to do list and bring our babies to do all the things that we once probably took for granted! Who ever thought that the beach would be such a hot spot for a future outing! If there is one thing we have learnt, it is the simple things in life that matter.
Big Love,
Today we bring you through the baby differences, the pregnancy differences, what's the 1st like and what is the 2nd like! Things we are doing differently now that we have had the experiences of having our first born!
Included in this weeks episode is our new gratitude segment! Nothing like a sprinkle of positivity, injected with some mindfulness that you at home can take part in too!!
As always we love hearing your feedback and if you want to appear on our podcast, please email us at [email protected] .
Big Love,
The development of babies - why does it have to be a race! In today's episode we discuss the interesting topic of babies development, how fast or slow things can be.
We explore the reality that every baby is so different, and no two people were born to be the same, so why do us Mums compare our babies development with others? Comparison is the thief of joy, enjoy your perfect bundle for what they are....perfect, no matter what stage they are at!
As always, we are not medical professionals, so always seek medical attention if you are concerned or worried in any way about your baby!
If you would like to share your story of mum life, please email us [email protected]
Big love,
The Mamas
