This Means Something...

This episode marks the return of Open the Podcast Doors, HAL's Rudi Thornburgh, who asks "are all your episodes like this?"

In a particularly foul-mouthed episode (all beeped for your protection), Mark Mosher wraps up the week as he joins Chris and Tierney in discussing 70's kid bedroom decor, Neary's Keanu moment, and another installment of Kids Review Close Encounters.

Mark Mosher kicks off the episode by describing his trip to Roswell, New Mexico and the annual UFO Festival. Chris and Tierney lament 70s interior design and clutter, while spotting some Tri-State-Area accent from Richard Dreyfuss.

Audio/Visual boffin Mark Mosher lends his conversational talents to the podcast again, contributing to an exegesis of the "Ohio Tolls" and hot pursuit scenes. Together with Chris and Tierney, they discuss Coyote Ugly, the sometimes dangerous profession of stunt driving, and what websites in Colorado Springs used to look like.

Chris and Tierney wrap the week and finally arrive at Crescendo Summit. They discuss Barry's garment adjustment, painted guardrails, and the Dagwood sandwich of creepiness waiting for Barry and Jillian.

Tierney and Chris compare notes on Roy's reaction to his "close encounter," and his transition into a man of action. Also, they talk about The Coneheads.

Chris and Tierney watch and analyze the aftermath of Roy's first UFO encounter. Chris notices a musicality in the UFO's low frequency rumble, while Tierney compares what we see to what's described in the novelization. Also, Kids Review Close Encounters!

Chris & Tierney explore the minute where Roy's truck is scanned by an ominous force from above, with excellent sound design and lighting effects on full display.
