This episode we will be discussing "Don't Look Up", a new star-studded flick which chronicles the reactions of America when a deadly comment is plummeting towards earth. Tommy and Emily had rather different opinions on the quality of this movie as per usual, but this time it seems Emily was almost able to sway him… What do you think? Tommy expresses his disdain for Jennifer Lawrence, surprise surprise; whilst Emily gushes over two of her favourite actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill.
In this episode we discuss the 2020 film Greenland, starring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin, which follows a family trying to survive a planet eviscerating comet. As per usual we put ourselves in the world of the film and ponder how we'd handle an extinction level comet colliding with earth. Is saving yourself even possible, or should you just ring in the apocalypse with drinking and dancing? Listen to find out.
Today Emily and Tommy engage in some discussion inspired from having previously watched "Last Action Hero", in which Arnold Schwarzenegger's Jack Slater character was eventually brought into that film's real world. We wondered which movie character would we bring into our real world if given the chance, and asked our listeners to chime in via the thismovieis Instagram with their responses. Who has the best answer? It's not a competition, but there is a clear winner.
Celebrities. Sometimes, we love to hate them. This is (almost) one of those times. In today’s episode Tommy and Emily discuss the celebrities we don’t care for. Do we hate them? No. Do we care about them in any way? No. Some would call this episode “All Jennifer’s Are Average”, “Mark Ruffalo is a little bitch”, or even “I understand why Brad Pitt left her.” Listen for yourself and tell us, do you agree with our points??? Which celebrities do you not care for? Happy listening!! (And sorry Jen if you’re out there)
