This Needs To Be Said...

Life Challenge #18-THE GOALS

Gosh. I get it! We are imperfect human being. We make mistakes. We don’t always get it right on the 1st, 2nd and sometimes the 3rd try, but as Life Challengers, we have learned not to give up because what it is that we seek might be accomplished with just one more try. When do you quit? When do you give up? I thought I knew the answer to every question relating to human behavior, but I have no answer for you. I do know that in the face of adversity or a Deal Breaker, you might need to make an adjustment. You might have to alter your goals or the action plans necessary to accomplish them. You might have to change your time table. But quit or give up! Life Challengers quitting and giving up on anything is not an option!

Life Challengers, What are your goals? What can you do to make sure you have a reasonable chance of achieving them within a reasonable period of time? Are you prepared for the Deal Breakers or unannounced problems that will distract you? There are families and friends who needed you to help them live fuller and more satisfying lives. I was thinking out loud over the 4th of July weekend. I had a great weekend, but found myself severely burned. I was SPIRITUALLY GROUNDED, so I still claimed the victory. I remembered the previous Life Challenges and applied them. I CELEBRATED the life of family and friends and they were there to help me. They cheered me on and prayed for a speedy recovery. I enjoy talking, but when it was time to be carried because I was disabled, I listened to my MENTORS. I realized the benefit of having a MINISTRY as PRAYER WARRIORS surrounded me. I had RE-POSITION me to add value to the lives of others and when I couldn't, my family and friends rose up and added value to my life. I didn't know the real benefit of BUILDING BRIDGES until my car was disabled, then a buddy offer the use of his car until mine is repaired. I was stranded in Raleigh. My car is still in Raleigh. This is my story for this is my TESTIMONY.

Life Challengers, I am told that the Life Challenges series may not work for everyone! I agreed because there is a requirement that is called, PREPARATION. It happens when you start your day with the attitude that you are ready to "get the work in." You jumped out of bed instead of crawling out because you are ready to get started. On the day before, you decided what you were going to achieve the following day, so you made sure all of the necessary resources where in place to get started. You had goals and plans to achieve them. You decided you were going to become productive, an achiever, successful. You started your day off believing that you could achieve your goals and you completed most of them. So yes, Life Challengers, you must start off your day with the right attitude or check yourself. Remember that if you ever get distracted, it is never too late to get back on track.

The question was asked, "Can everyone be successful? Can everyone live fuller and more satisfying lives? How can I add value to the life of another when I am struggling?" As the spiritual song, written by Marvin Sapp, mentioned, I commented. "YES, YOU CAN!" Find your spiritual self and become grounded in it. Remember that on the days when you can't carry yourself anymore, there is a God or spiritual being that BELIEVES in you and will carry you the rest of your way to complete your journey!
