Life Challenge #2 with Donald Mills

Mentorship. Last week, we found a reason to celebrate. This week, we want to figure out who we are, what we want out of life and how are we going to get it! We started life admiring someone-the parental figures in our lives, and then we had our role models. We took a little bit of this and a little bit of that and developed our personalities and styles. Now, we are the role models and folk want to learn from us. But for us to take our lives to the next level so that we are in a position to give something back, we may have to take two steps backwards. For the better or worse, we have to remember how we got to where we are in life. We have to remember what we wanted, did we get it, and know, what we want now. We have to remember what happened in our lives that resulted in our feeling happy or sad and know how we feel now. Life Challengers, you are the mentors? Folk look to learn from you. They want to be like you. How do you help them live fuller and more satisfying lives and what are you doing for yourself to live a fuller and more satisfying life. Time to take inventory of yourself!

Her first stage name was “Diana Blue” a combination of Diana Ross & the movie title (she gave herself that name at the age of 5). Her influences include Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Earth Wind & Fire, Sade, Irma Thomas, Etta James, Ledisi, Maysa, Jill Scott, Chaka Kahn, Frank Sinatra and many other diverse artists and musicians. GiGi is a talented songwriter, actress and poet and enjoys performing live and has a sultry, alluring and captive stage presence that is well worth waiting for.

Donald Ray Mills asks: Are celebrations really necessary?

He shared on social media the following story. My twins, Donald and Dorian just had a birthday- (see photo album). I swear, I was just as happy when we celebrated their 4th birthday. I had the same clown on one of their cakes. How about you? Celebrations bring family and friends together for a joyful occasion. They encourage, inspire, motivate and let others know how much they are loved and appreciated. They are excellent opportunities to bond and network. Life Challengers. What do you think?
