Today I wanted to talk about why intellectual honesty is so important to me. It's actually more about being honest with yourself. So many people want so much time and energy trying to avoid facing and telling the truth. Worse, it's more that people lie to themselves to help perpetuate what it is they want to project.

This season was supposed to be an examination of life, society, and self. Generally speaking, I think I got to do a bit of that, but the world is frankly a little nuts right now and a very short list of topics are dominating everything. Which means it's time to move on. Maybe I Can come back to this topic down the road but for now I want to do something new. So what's next for Season 3?

Happy Birthday to Me? A few things I need to work through as I try to comprehend what this age really means. 

So I've long held a theory that American society and culture follow a 40 cycle repeating cycle. I contend that a close examination of life from 1860 to this modern age will reveal incredible parallels in the behavior and values of people in this country, and how every 40 years the cycle repeats itself. As well, I contend that we are nearing the end of a cycle now and what comes next may surprise everyone, me included.

First, let me address the elephant in the room, apparently, I was getting a call when I started this recording and the BZZZZZ....BZZZZ...BZZZZ is clearly audible on the recording. Sorry, lol.

Ok so on to today's topic. You undoubtedly meet all kinds of people at work. Every background and walk of life, I'm sure. One sure way to ruin your work relationships with these people is to talk about politics in the workplace. Well, today, some tried really...REALLY hard to talk politics with me and man, just....no.
