Fisherman's friend

An I Don't Care of a book. Blair's boredom was palpable and contagious. Contents are uninspired, plot (or what passes for plot) is hackneyed. All the old tropes are dragged out and given an airing, in a "I need to fill these blank pages with something" kind of way. I was left with the impression this was a story told to pay the rent or satisfy a contract, rather than an idea Blair could hardly wait to put down on paper.

The characters are a bland series of Words, not even close to being People. And worst of all, these Words, they're fisherfolk. Nooooo!
