Chaos
We left this young man aimlessly drifting in chaos. He began with no desire to kiss a girl only to love where, in his heart, it would remain only unrequited with 3 or4 young women. He was an intellectual with no ambition after a Princeton education and fighting in a war. I had high hopes for him. I suppose if he lived in this day and time, we would find him at Starbucks playing chess and writing poetry. I enjoyed it but expected more.
Fitzgerald is one of my favorite authors. I loved Gatsby and Benjamin Button
Fitzgerald is one of my favorite authors. I loved Gatsby and Benjamin Button, this was yet another great tale, with great characters woven through. Certainly a hidden gem as was Benjamin Button (but we had to watch that for a psychology class which lead me to read it -- the book was much better than the movie as is often the case.)
Worth It! Such an interesting piece of literature.
Worth It! Such an interesting piece of literature. Unfortunately, I ordered the large print, so I never finished the book, it was just too cumbersome to read on such huge pages. But I loved reading F Scott's first work. Intriguing.
Overall, a good read for a classic.
I downloaded to culture myself with a classic writer. Story is pretty good, kinda jumps around and of course written in past style, so some of the verbage is unknown to me. Overall, a good read for a classic.
