February 02, 2026Marine Vet: Surviving “The Combat Outpost”Listen as Marine Veteran, Matt Boelhower, discusses his deployment in 04 where his unit held Ramadi, Iraq for 7 months. Matt lost 34 Marines and about 3 times that were wounded. First night back, Matt got dunk. That continued until one night, enjoying some bingo at his golf club followed by some drinks at a friends caused a hang over that made Matt miss a family event. That motivated a change. January 19, 2026Air Force Vet: 5 Combat Deployments, Multiple Suicide Attempts, Drinking to CopeListen as Jimmy takes us on a pretty wild ride of his life during and after enlisting in the Air Force as a load master. Each deployment he sent home 75-100 human remains, worked with multiple special forces and earned the nick name “Pew Pew.” After his first divorce, drinking became heavy to the point where at the beginning of this second deployment, he went through withdraw. During a deployment he was struck by a 107mm round during an attack. Jimmy stopped drinking the day he started with US Vets he now is an advocate for addicts/homeless Vets to help get them back on their feet!
