This solo episode is all about my favourite topic...FOOD! 

I love eating food, thinking about food and talking about food and I've found that during lockdown this passion has only intensified. So I decided to do a 24-hour fast to see if I am actually in control of food, or is food in control of me? I also talk about a new chapter that has opened up for me after I did the challenge and how all of this is directly related to me being a podcast host and trying to live a life that is more in line with my values.

This episode is all about FEELINGS and how your emotions can hold you back from doing the things that you want to do and being the person you want to be. Our amazing guest, Louisa Hussey is a transformational Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping) Practitioner and Mindset Coach. Don't worry if you're not sure what that is(!) as Louisa will explain all in the episode as well as take us through a demonstration for you to try it out yourself. 

In brief, tapping helps people who are stuck, stressed or feeling other negative emotions, express and overcome them so that they can reconnect back to the joy in their life and develop the confidence to move forward. If you are raising a sceptical eyebrow at this point, that is okay! Louisa did too when she saw her first tapping demonstration. But after she tried it and found it changed her life, she quit her job and re-trained to be an EFT Practitioner. So I invite you to be curious and listen with an open mind.

This podcast is all about exploring mind, body and nature and the things that hold us back from enjoying them. On this solo episode, I open up about something that has held me back from enjoying my own mind and body...myself! Specifically, my perfectionism.

As someone who creates self-improvement content, I think it is extremely important to talk about this - the dark side of self-improvement. So I share my experience about when healthy striving has become unhealthy, and indeed downright malevolent self-criticism.

As a recovering perfectionist, I also reassure you that my intention is that this podcast will always be a place of curiosity and exploration, never judgement or expectation.

Francesca Trotman set up the non-profit organisation Love The Oceans in 2014 after she witnessed a horrific scene that would change her life forever. At just 21 years old she made the decision that she couldn't just walk away and do nothing about this. 

Ever since then she’s devoted her life’s work to growing a team of individuals to protect and study the diverse marine life in Jangamo Bay, Mozambique. But its not just the animals that have benefitted from her compassion, the human community living in the Bay have also been gifted the opportunity to have a happier, healthier and more sustainable future.

This is a follow-up episode to Episode 11. The Weirdest Game I Ever Played - My Year in Review where I shared the highs and lows of my 2020 and started looking towards what I wanted from 2021. I wasn't ready to set or commit to any goals then and to be honest, I'm still not ready now! But I have set a direction of travel and I've tried and tested a solution that so far appears to be effective in that I can stick to it, and it still moves me forwards. This is not your standard goal-setting or New Year's resolutions, this is a new approach to goal achievement in 2021.
